Exploring Oahu isn't just about stunning landscapes and your feet in the sand. Those adventures you're planning are sure to leave you hungry and dying to experience the incredible local flavors. I've put together a list of 10 of my favorite spots on the island. From food trucks and hole in the walls to fine dining; there's a lil somethin somethin for everyone. In no particular ranking order, here they are...

Waiahole Poi Factory - This is one of best places to get grab an authentic Hawaiian style lunch. Old, country style vibes and ono grindz will make you feel right at home on Oahu. The kalua pork and chicken long rice are my two favorites with the sweet lady of Waihole for desert. And you can't leave without at least trying the poi!
Seven Brothers in Kahuku - Known for their tasty plate lunches and delicious burgers Seven Brothers offers generous portions of local favorites in a casual setting. My favorite location is at the Sugar Mill in Kahuku. Highly recommend the coconut macadamia nut shrimp.
Zane’s Shrimp Truck - In the same lot as Giovani's shrimp truck, you'll find a lesser known but in my humble opinion - more delicious Zane's. Their sweet Thai chili shrimp is unreal, don't forget to tell em the plate broke da mouth!
Guava Smoked - An absolute gem, your mouth will start watering when you smell what they're cookin.
Beach House by Roy at Turtle Bay - Enjoy upscale dining with breathtaking ocean views at Beach House, where fresh seafood and local ingredients
Buzz's Steak House - Just an awesome, laid back beach spot located directly across from Kailua Beach Park. The fresh catch or Jack Daniels burger are my top choices here.
Barbecue Kai in Waianae Your first instinct might be to go to the L&L across the corner, but you'd be smarter to get in line behind the big braddahs at Barbecue Kai. If you're craving smoky, tender barbecue they got you covered with their tender ribs, chicken, and more, all cooked to perfection.
Halewia Joe’s - Great vibes and comfort food at both locations. The original stop, in Haleiwa is right by the boat harbor and rainbow bridge. I love hangin at the Joe's bar after sunset and soaking in the energy with some ahi spring rolls and a pint. If you're looking for a more up-scale, sit-down; the haiku location has unreal views of the Ko'olau mountains. Just be prepared to wait a while for a table. You can eat pupu's and order drinks in their waiting area.
North Shore Tacos (Fish Burrito) - Up in Hauula near the Polynesian Cultural Center you'll find their famous fish burrito, where you can mix the green and red sauces on top for the perfect after da beach meal.
Poke Bowl at Tamura’s - No list would be complete without a poke bowl! You won't find this one on most poke bowl lists. Most are liquor/wines stores with the spot in Waianae being a full scale market. But each one has some of the best fresh poke you'll find on island.
